Sports Assembly Names LeagueApps Official Youth Sports Platform Partner

June 7, 2021 (New York, NY) – [PRO] Sports Assembly and LeagueApps, the operating system and community for youth and local sports leaders, today unveiled a new partnership making the New York-based technology company [PRO]’s Official Youth Sports Platform Partner and a Founding Partner.

[PRO] and LeagueApps will co-host youth development-focused virtual workshops, accessible exclusively for [PRO] members, and public-facing virtual events. Leaders across professional teams, leagues and unions will get insight and resources from LeagueApps, an Aspen Institute Project Play Champion, on topics like equitable play, generating revenue through youth programs, and more.

LeagueApps also will be the presenting sponsor of the new [PRO] Youth Development Changemaker Award. This program will serve as the highest honor for the coordinators working in this space as chosen by a special voting committee composed of industry executives and former athletes. More details and application submission deadlines will be announced at a later date.

“While [PRO] Sports Assembly exists to provide platforms and resources for today’s sports business professionals, we are also focused on building a foundation for the next generation – which begins with our commitment to youth sports,” says Rocky Egusquiza, Vice President, Miami Marlins and Founding Governing Board Member, [PRO] Sports Assembly. “Our partnership with LeagueApps will foster critical thinking and purposeful collaboration that will elevate youth sports professionals and equality in all tiers of sport – from the grassroots to the pros.”

“We believe the power of sport emanates from the grassroots, building important foundations for a variety of positive healthy outcomes such as social emotional learning, pro-social relationship skills and better academic performance,” said Benita Fitzgerald Mosley, LeagueApps Head of Community & Impact and President, FundPlay. “Our partnership with [PRO] expresses these beliefs. We’re excited to expand our youth development efforts with pro sports, creating a diverse community focused on impact and honoring the next generation of leaders driving that change.”
